Emel Syu
Emel Syunetchieva, born in Bulgaria on May 28th 1994. Emel lived in Bulgaria until the age of 8, where she completed 1 and half years of elementary school. During the second year of school, Emel’s mother won a green card and her family moved to Chicago, IL. When Emel moved to the US, her and her brother started school right away, while Emel’s parents began to work and go to the local college to learn English. Emel graduated High School in 2013 and then went on to study Criminal Justice at Triton Community College. After graduating from Triton, and receiving her Associates Degree in Arts, Emel transferred over to Governors State University. It was there that she completed another 2 years of college and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. Within a month of graduation, Emel began working with the elderly population as a case manager for Senior Services of Will County.
