#FriendshipGoals: What Is the Definition of a Good Friend

Usually, when we think of best friends or friendship in general we think about activities we want to do with our friends or have some amazing time with them. When we post on social media about something fun that we do together with our best friends we often use hashtags like #friendshipcoals.

But what about the real stuff? The things that go beyond the glamour and fun? I mean our friends are important, but do you know how our friends keep us sane?

You can have 50 friends or just 2 or 3. Candace and I (Andrea) we only have a couple of friends that we would call #bestfriends. Those are the friends that we tell them everything no matter what. After all, it doesn’t matter how many friends we have. What matters the most is the quality of those friendships. People often think that they are alone and that their problems are insurmountable.

That’s why being able to talk with our friends is literally therapy! Especially when you have amazing friends that will tell you when you are full of shit and to get the stick out of your ass and you want to punch them in the face but you realize that they want your best and they won’t tell you those things unless truly care for you. When our friends listen to us, we gain a better perspective on our problems. Good friendships are hard to find and we hold on to them no matter what. There are few people in our lives that care about us more than our close friends. We all know how hard sometimes it can be for us to work things out in our own head. So having somebody else that understands or can help us organize our mind’s mess is so precious.

Listen to Candace and Andrea talk about friendship goals and what they think is the definition of a good friend.
